Being able to wield even a fraction of the Devil Gene's power while still retaining his own consciousness gives him a major edge over most of the series' characters, who are mere humans. ![]() This is backed up by his belief that the two shouldn't live among normal humans, and with Heihachi already dead after the conclusion of Tekken 7, it would mean the end of the Mishima family that's defined the series heretofore.Įven if Jin doesn't die, he's now far more powerful than ever before. In either allowing his body to become a more willing host to the Devil Gene or in controlling its dangerous power, Jin is likely being set up, along with his father, to die in the game's single-player storyline. There are also potential storyline developments that could come from this, with Tekken 8 possibly doing what its predecessor was intended to do and finishing off the Mishima Clan storyline for the franchise. ![]()
